My name is Dylan Hartsell, the owner and operator of Sagebrush Outfitters.

I’ve been fishing the Lower Deschutes since middle school, and I started guiding this river in 2017. Over the years, I’ve worked with a range of outfitters, each one shaping how I approach both fishing and the overall experience.

In 2023, I launched Sagebrush Outfitters after earning my own permit to guide independently. That shift gave me the ability to build something that reflects how I believe a day on the river should actually feel. Thoughtful, adaptable, and centered around the people in the boat.

Every trip is an opportunity to share what I’ve learned, refine the approach, and create something that goes beyond just catching fish.
